Can't Sleep!
Finished “Insomnia Cafe” the other night. Couldn’t sleep. Har! Har!
Black and white 79 page graphic novel hard cover published by Image (2009) Turkish artist M. K. Perker retails 14.95.
Interesting story about a rare book specialist who can’t sleep and gets involved with the mob, a very interesting library and lots of caffeine… Caffeine always good for a person with insomnia ;)
Takes a while to get going but once it does, it is worth it. The art has a magazine type feel, which makes sense as the author does illustration work for many of the big ones.
A good read but it is missing something.
I would pick this one up if you can scoop it from a discount bin or borrow from a friend or library.

Argh! Federal election this Monday in Canada. Less said about the "power hungry crooks" the better...

Just because you do something that long doesn't mean you'll be awesome. "Sheet!" It doesn't even mean you will be good. What it "could" mean is that if you practice something the "wrong way" for 10 thousand hours you just might end up being great at doing it WRONG!
My Work Weak:
Hurt my neck in a hockey game Thursday so can't sit at 'puter (or any position/place) too long. Some pictures posted last couple of days with water colour brush. Here is a couple pages of my thumbs/panels for my upcoming mini comic...
So this week I had an office hour with my mentor/adviser Kevin W. Cross and discussed my new web site (which is in the process of going up) I hate announcing stuff too soon. But since we are all "friends" here I will mention I was hoping to have it up in time for TCAF (Toronto Comic Arts Festival ) with business cards and everything. Ah well. The best laid plans...
